First Blog Entry/Newspaper Link
Well as someone once said into the breach dear friends. Welcome to the Blog for St. Andrew’s Legion Pipes and Drums; Quick March. This will take the place of our old news section on the web site. We’ll post all the news, accolades, and information that would normally be passed on in the various forms. Hopefully this will be a fun way for us to communicate and keep everyone informed.
My goal is to see the instructors post lessons and goals to work on after class on Monday. Needless to say you are going to have to make sure you check the blog daily you never know when or who will post something.
The big news for today is of course the newspaper article the Richmond Times Dispatch published about us and our sister band the Emerald Society. Please follow the link and check out the article. Bagpipe group grows In addition to the piece in the newspaper there is a link on nbc12.com web site from where we performed at the Virginia Fallen Firefighters Memorial service this link is right here. Luckily there is no video because if the camera adds 10 pounds they must have had 10 cameras there. I’ll have more information on the awards presented to us once Robin gets me the photos of the award prior to it being “stored” in our trophy case.
